BGL had some good hunches about a range of new insurance products and business models, but time and resource was against them. Sense Worldwide helped them develop, test and refine these concepts ready for market by collaborating with smart, articulate members of The Sense Network.
// Client need:
The collaborative economy was disrupting the market. The BGL innovation team needed to understand changing consumer attitudes to insurance and what propositions were viewed as new and innovative. They had some ideas but weren’t sure if they would fly. The team needed to work fast and iteratively to get them to market.
// SWW solution:
The first step was a global Shout Out to the Sense Network to gauge the state of innovation in the insurance category and expand our understanding of the category from a consumer perspective. We singled out individuals whose experiences and personal circumstances provided a rich source of insight and expertise. In collaboration with these members of The Sense Network we designed a series of sprints to rapidly develop new propositions.

By asking the right questions to the right people in The Sense Network, Sense Worldwide helped BGL to build confidence in the direction for each of the new insurance propositions. Working in collaboration, as one team, we were able to work fast and smart to develop a more accurate understanding and articulation of the emerging market opportunity.
