Brilliant Buildings

We’ve been lusting over great design this week and it’s prompted a hunt for beautiful buildings. It’s brilliant design on the grandest scale and we’re already planning to book flights to see our favourites… might even bump into a few Sensers on the way!

Neil, our Director over in NYC, sent this over with no explantation. And none was needed. Instagram’s collection of #cabinporn tags really does should you how imaginative and innovative you can be with even the smallest space.

With the waves of hurricanes battering the US at the moment, these architects latest design will be a welcome one! It’s floatable, completely off-grid and can stand up to a category 4 hurricane!

Heatherwick Studios long has a record of exceptional building and space design (and they are currently the studio behind the Vessel in NYC). Scroll through their work to get a gist, but we love the Al Fayah Park concept in Abu Dhabi. A shaded community space hidden beneath the fissures of cracked earth – so amazing.

 

Our community manager Rebecca LOVES this block in Beirut. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, this building uses staggered floor plates to open up large planted terraces overlooking Beirut’s marina.
